For this project we first recorded, edited and delivered the voiceover in the booth here in SW19. The animators and edits then got to work editing the gameplay clips and building the videos using this narration as the guide.
Finally we went back in and augmented the few available game sounds with sound design to compliment the style of the game audio and fill in the gaps. Sound design was also created for the animated sequences, logos and transitions and the final video mixed for the Final Fantasy YouTube Channel.
In the video above, for example, only the game sound for the fire sequence was available so the rest was recreated from scratch.
